Private Well Sampling

Summit Envirosolutions (Summit) is proud to be a resource for home and business owners concerned about Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS). As an environmental services company, Summit understands the importance of the quality of your drinking water that your family or business counts on. PFAS compounds are quickly becoming a major environmental contaminant that may be affecting your water quality and your health.

Summit has partnered with Pace Analytical Services (Pace) to provide the Midwest with testing services for your private wells for PFAS compounds. This service combines Summit’s highly respected environmental professionals with the high-quality laboratory analyses provided by Pace. Due to the highly sensitive nature of PFAS compounds and the precision needed to accurately analyze these compounds, only the highest quality environmental professionals and laboratories should be used to test your water.

To address the concerns of many homeowners and businesses, Summit is offering water sampling from both raw well water and filtered or treated water.

Raw Well Water

If your business or household has not had your water tested for PFAS compounds and you are concerned that your water may be affected, it is highly recommended that you have your water tested. The sampling process is quick and easy. If your water tests positive for PFAS compounds, Summit advises that the well owner contact your state health department or environmental agency for further advisement.

Post Treatment Water

If your business or household currently has water treatment designed to remove PFAS, usually a Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter, it is highly recommended you have your water tested after the filtration to verify the treatment is working. Filtration systems are designed to filter the PFAS compounds from the water, however filtration systems have a limited lifespan and can have contamination breakthrough. To make sure your filtration system is working, a PFAS water sample can be taken post treatment before your scheduled filter replacement. If your treated water tests positive for PFAS compounds, Summit recommends you contact the filtration servicing company.
