Summit’s cultural resource management (CRM) program is designed to assist our clients in achieving compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and other federal and state laws and regulations related to historic and archaeological resources. Summit’s CRM offices conduct projects throughout the United States. Our St. Paul, Minnesota, office opened in 2001 and has completed numerous projects in the fields of archaeology, architectural history, history, and ethnography, earning the recognition and respect of our clients, agencies, and peers. Our Carson City, Nevada, office has been in operation since 1994, and since its acquisition of Archaeological Research Services in 2000, it has become one of the largest and most experienced cultural resource firms conducting work in the Great Basin. Both of Summit’s offices employ full-time specialists as well as temporary field technicians and support staff in GIS, data management, graphics, and administration. Summit’s CRM team is dedicated to providing our clients with high-quality and cost effective consultation and has proven success in satisfying clients and regulatory agencies without compromising important historic resources.
