GPS & Differential GPS (DGPS)
Summit has embedded the use of DGPS technologies into all of its services.
The use of DGPS enables the GPS user to immediately achieve a higher degree
of positional accuracy thanks to the use of a real-time Differential Correcting
process. This eliminates the need to perform time-consuming post differential
corrections while drastically increasing the accuracy of the data collected
in the field. GPS is not only useful for collecting the spatial locations
of real-world features, but is also extremely important element to "geo-referencing" CAD
drawings to coordinate systems, the backbone of any GIS. Summit can collect
GPS data for integration into your GIS.
