RealFlow® ARCVIEW EXTENSION BY SUMMIT

One portion of the RealFlow service provided by Summit is the RealFlow
ArcView extension. With the extension, a user can instantly view current
hydrological conditions of an instrumented wellfield including drawdown,
groundwater elevation, and specific capacity. A user can also instantly
access the engineering parameters including flow rate, total flow,
pump vibration, power usage, and cost per gallon.

The RealFlow extension for ArcView also allows the user to query and
instantly visualize groundwater elevation contours or a grid. This
allows scientists, engineers, or municipal managers to quickly understand
the behavior of the groundwater in the wellfield by communicating groundwater
flow direction and areas of drawdown.
Based on hardware conditions, the user is allowed to set the refresh
rate of the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system
from which ArcView obtains data.
The RealFlow extension for ArcView can import data from groundwater
models. Summit is currently completing the necessary data streams
to run various modeling software packages directly from ArcView.
Once a RealFlow groundwater surface has been created, a cross
section may be generated to further solidify the users understanding
of the current hydrogeologic conditions of the well field. Orthogonal
geologic cross sections can also be generated at the direction
of the user.
