Spill Response Management
Summit provides emergency services that implement and coordinate
spill response efforts. Summit specializes in providing consulting
and managerial services that complete a project by providing accurate
and timely results to the client as well as to the appropriate
federal, state, and local agencies. Our spill consulting experience
includes spills ranging from less than 100 gallons to releases
over a million gallons. Summit has provided spill response management
in over a dozen states throughout the country. Summit ’s
spill response consulting services include:
- Providing 24 hour a day, 365 days a year spill response coordination
and management;
- Utilizing experienced field technicians and managers during
the initial response and subsequent activities;
- Communicating and negotiating the most practical alternative
to federal, state, and local regulators;
- Providing a mobile laboratory and Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) at the site to supply "real"time analysis of
soil, water, and air during the spill event;
- Supplying recommendations for spill response alternatives,
subsequent investigation work, and corrective actions;
- Completing and submitting the necessary reports and/or other
correspondence to the appropriate government officials; and
- Managing environmental impact and risk assessment following
the spill clean-up.
